In its 25th successful edition this year, MALBEX 2008, Malaysia’s most dedicated building and construction trade show, will take place from 26th-29th August 2008 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Targeting at more than 14,000 building professionals, MALBEX 2008 will feature the full spectrum of building products, technologies and services categorised to four key segments: building finishes products, building construction materials, building systems/IT with construction machinery, systems, equipments and services.

MALBEX event will not only host local but also international pavilions, such as China, Taiwan, Singapore as well as participation from industry association pavilions namely the Building Materials Distributors Association Malaysia (BMDAM), Concrete Pavilion and group participation from the Malaysia Hardware, Machinery & Building Materials Dealers’ Association (MHMBA), Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association of Malaysia (MEMA), and Malaysian Fire Protection Association (MFPA). With the strong economic growth and positive market outlook, industry players can look forward to more specifications and procurement activities in the months ahead.

Many leading international players such as Aquafin International GmbH, Arkan Building Materials Company, Hilti (M) Sdn Bhd, ITW Asia Pte Ltd, Malaysia Timber Industry Board, RBM Building Machinery Trading Sdn Bhd, SKB Shutters Corporation Berhad, Saujana Stone Sdn Bhd, Tenax SPA, Uptop Access Sdn Bhd, Zacklim Floor Specialist Sdn Bhd and many more will showcase a diverse range of building products and services as well as latest technology at the exhibition.

Following the overwhelming success of the Incoming Buyers Mission (IBM) programme held in 2006, MALBEX 2008 once again plays host to its (IBM) where it will serve as a focal point for Malaysian companies in the building and construction industry to promote their products and services to potential foreign buyers. MATRADE will host the international buyers at this unique exchange platform.

The Concrete Society of Malaysia in association with the Asian Concrete Construction Institute is organizing the 1st Malaysia Concrete Week from 26th – 29th August 2008, with series of workshops and seminars. A Concrete Pavilion will also be featured at MALBEX 2008.
