FHM 2007 was a phenomenal success, and was by far the largest food, beverage & hospitality industry event in Malaysia. From the number of exhibitors, country pavilions and exhibition space to trade visitors and business deals forged, FHM 2007 was able to surpass expectations on all fronts. Keeping to its reputation as Malaysia's Official Food & Hotel Show, FHM 2007 was officially launched by the former Minister of Tourism Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The ninth biennial Malaysian International Exhibition of Food, Drinks, Hotel, Restaurant and Food Service Equipment, Supplies, Services & related Technology, FHM 2007, held in August 2007 saw:- ⇒ 650 Companies from 32 Countries worldwide participating. ⇒ Top players in the F&B industry seen at FHM 2007 were Aeroshield. Lee's Frozen, Lucky Frozen, Prima Agri, Unilever, Boncafe, Coffex Coffee, Auric Chun Yip, Chun Yip Machinery, English Hotbreads, Sinmag, Lian Huat, Murni Machinery, NKE Continental, SCC Corporation, F & Equipment, Ultimate Circle, CKE Marketing, MSM Equipment, Hotel Information Systems, CCI Solutions, Getronics, Hocatsu, Hyperlux, Eurochef, Hospitality Resources, SKS and Kian Contract amongst others were seen under one roof. ⇒ 10 National Groups from Austria, Belgium, Egypt, India, Japan, Korea, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States of America. ⇒ A record high of 18,383 trade visitors from 53 countries. ⇒ Achieved 8,000 pre-registered visitors as at one week prior to the show. ⇒ The highly acclaimed Asean Food Congress which proudly returned to Malaysia in 2007 was held in conjunction with FHM 2007. ⇒ The exhibition saw various group visits by top associations & factories such as Hotel Purchasing Association Malaysia, Malaysian Indian Restaurant Owners Association, Malaysian Indian Muslim Restaurant Owners Association & Clayton Ceramic Factory. Capitalizing on the success of the 2007 show, FHM 2009 is set to be bigger and better. With support garnered from the Ministry of Tourism, Malaysian Association of Hotels, Chefs Association of Malaysia and the Malaysian Food & Beverage Executives Association and endorsed by MATRADE, FHM 2009 is expected to attract some 20,000 trade visitors & professional buyers from across the region. Held alongside FHM 2009 is PROPAK 2009, the 5th Malaysian International Food Processing & Packaging Technology Exhibition and Culinaire Malaysia 2009, the region's largest culinary competition. Up to date almost 50 percent of its food, beverage and hotel conglomerates have already confirmed their participation for 2009. The 4 day exhibition taking place from August 11 - 14 2009 at the state of the art Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will see producers, distributors and manufacturers. |
