Seapack Food Sdn Bhd | With the utilisation of sophisticated technology and machinery, Seapack Food Sdn. Bhd. excels in innovative processes of transforming surimi into forms which resemble the texture, taste and appearance of a wideranging variety of seafood including crab, lobster and prawn. Seapack Food has also added the fish sausage and the traditional Japanese surimi cake called Kamaboko to her range of delicious products, all fit for inclusion to any cuisine with minimum fuss. Seapack Food products are packed with protein, contain less than one percent fat and very low amounts of cholesterol. This ideal nutritional value combined with exquisite seafood flavouring and hygienic ready-to-serve packaging make Seapack Food's line of products one of the best in the market. Each individual product has its own specific ingredients, modified to suit the needs and requirements of each individual customer. This flexibility allows Seapack Food to export her products to countries throughout the world where diverse cultures dictate different preferences.
The ingredients for making surimi-based products are blended and kneaded under vacuum and extruded or moulded, steamed and roasted to the equivalent texture of the desired products. Prior to blast-freezing in a continuous tunnel freezer, the product is sterilised to achieve microbiological standards of the most exacting inspection authorities. Stored below -18 °C, the product is fit for consumption for up to 18 months.

Our efforts have earned us the coveted ISO 9002 accreditation in November 1994. Nevertheless in our relentless pursuit to achieve a new magnitude of quality, Seapack Food has also implemented the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) which emphasises food safety. And in October 1999, Seapack Food achieved the European Food Safety Inspection Service(EFSIS) accreditation.
Like HACCP, the EFSIS approval has become a requirement for food manufacturers to list their products in major retail chains in the United Kingdom. With its strong affiliation to reputable food institutions like Campder & Chorleywood Food Research Association and Meat & Livestock Commission of the most stringent accrediting bodies in the European Union in setting high standards for the manufacturing of food products.
