MULTI-CABLE TRANSIT - MCT Multi-cable Transit is based on a sample but effective design It consists of a rectangular metal frame suitable for floor or wall installation, which is available in smile or multiple units. Each frame contains an arrangement of Tecron elastomer modules grooved to fit snugly around cables, pipes, or conduits passing through the frame. The intumescent Tecron modules expand when exposed to heat, providing a congruous seal even if cable Jackets disintegrate The entire assembly within each frame is locked in position to prevent dislodgement and the spread of fire and the products of combustion
TRANSIT FRAME The transit frame is the housing into which the other components are fitted.
MCT LUBRICANT (TALLOW) Used when packing Allows the insert modules to slide easily over each other
NELSON CLK N/S SEALANT For armored cable. Sealant should be applied In the grooves to seal the space between the armor and the cable sheath in marine cables, and the groove in the Interlock of Industrial cables
COMPRESSION BOLT When tightened, the bolt applies pressure to the compression plate, sealing EMCT the grooved insert modules around the cables.
END PACKING-STANDARD End packing assembly is bolted into place to provide a fire and watertight seal above the compression plate. The standard end packing assembly is used when both sides of the transit frame are accessible.
END PACKING-SPECIAL Special end packing assembly serves the same purpose as the standard and is used when the transit frame is accessible from one side only.
"SHORTY" END PACKING-SPECIAL Replaces standard-size MCT end packings in over populated conditions allowing installation of an additional row of 15mm or 20mm modules.
COMPRESSION PLATE Compression plate applies pressure to the assembly of Tecron cable holding and spare insert modules creating an airtight seal.
STAY PLATES Stay plates are inserted between every completed row to help distribute compression forces within the frame and to keep modules from dislodging under high pressure conditions.
CABLE HOLDING TECRON INSERT MODULES Cable holding insert modules are available in seven sizes to accommodate a range of cable/pipe from 5/32" to 3 3/4 O.D. and can be custom drilled up to 4 1/2" I.D. They tit snugly around the cable or pipe to form an air-tight water-tight seal when compression is applied in the final assembly step.
SPARE INSERT MODULES Solid modules are used to till voids or allow for future addition of cables. They are available in seven module sizes.
FILL-IN INSERT STRIPS Used to fill space gaps. Available in two thicknesses: 5 and 10 mm. Strips are 120 mm long and are serrated to allow cutting at any desired length.
STRIP MODULES Available for situations where many of the same size cables are penetrat ing an opening. Strip modules will allow more cable holding capacity per frame than standard single modules and are available with plugs where all openings are not used or spare capability is required.
EMCT Nelson's EMCT protects sensitive electronic equipment from the effects of EMT and EMP induced currents in cables, conduits and pipes by providing improved shielding and an effective bond to the ground plane.
In addition, EMCT provides a proven barrier to fire, water, pressure, smoke and gas.
GROOVED FLEXTRON MODULES Five module sizes accommodate a range of cable/pipe from 1/2" to 2 1/4" O.D. This tolerant module conforms to the O.D. of the cable/pipe when tightened to form an air-tight, water-tight seal.
WEDGE PACK ASSEMBLY Replace MCT end packing, compression plate and compression bolt. Permits installation where accessibility is limited or weight is critical. Available in 60mm and 120mm widths. MCT FRAMES FRAME DESCRIPTION AND USAGE

STEEL FRAMES
ALUMINUM FRAMES (FOR ENVIROMENTAL SEALS)
MULTI FRAMES
BANDED FRAMES Basic Frame - A basic RGS (steel) or RGA (aluminum) frame. This frame is welded to a bulkhead or deck plate. The basic frame is also used within the banded frame configurations.
"A" Frame - Type "A" banded frame configuration. In this configuration the RGS/RGA frame is flush with face of band. This assembly is typically used for bulkhead mounting.
"B" Frame - Type "B" banded frame configuration. In this configuration the RGS/RGA frame extends out of the band. This assembly is typically used for deck mounting.
"AE" Frame - Type "AE" banded frame configuration. Also available in type "BE" - similar to "AE" except the frame extends out of the band.
The bands are available in numerous thicknesses, heights and frame configurations. Product Keywords : fire, cable, protection |
